New Note on the SH21 Bypass of the San Marcos Scales! There is now a load zoned bridge in the area of Niederwald, between San Marco and US 183. Tandem Weight Limit is 31,000, this area is monitored daily by County and State Patrols. Applied for both North and South bound traffic!

Use caution with the SH21 bypass of this scale. There is a newly built scale on SH21 in front of the San Marcos airport.

To avoid the San Marcos,TX scale house
simply if your going north exit 21 which is exit # 205 turn right to 21 towards bastrop travel about 3 miles to Uhland turn left on high rd it changes name 3 times but stay on the main rd and it is hwy 122 and it will get you way around the san marcos scales
and if your coming south just turn left on hwy 122 for about 6 miles to Uhland and when you get to 21 turn right till you get to hwy 80 turn right to I 35
these routes shoud take a total of 15 min a lot better than a fine .
