The West Bound Scale is still out of the ground as of June 15, 2008, but the area is highly patrolled so don't leave the front door to open. and to east. And to East bounders, be careful on that foot long bridge, the speed limit for trucks is 55, set the cruise at 58 and let that big dog eat because even if you don't see them, there's an eye in the sky and you will get a ticket in the mail.

breaux bridge scale is a training ground for new DOT officers in La. alternate route going west I10 hwy 415 190w I49s I10 west reverse route going east also best way if going to I49 to shreveport cuts off 25 miles hammer down and happy trails.

I operate a crane and our company removed the West Bound Scales last month. They are out of comission. Hammer on it going west. The east bound scale is still open though
