the best way to get around that scale is to go north on 14 in newton up to f17 west to baxter to 330 south into desmoines that it not a patroled route and i run it twice every week to omaha

Permanent sign stating all trucks over 10,000 lbs must enter weigh station. Was closed when I went through.

they stopped me on the scale here and had me set my brakes and bring in my logbook to check it
