Right now, the EB Carlock scale is still closed. Ramp is blocked off as well. They are redoing the pavement, but at a sloths pace.

This previous poster is right, this is a bad scale to be at on both sides. They like checking trucks. Hwy 9 is a good route to take like stated above, but it takes a lot longer. you can also take US 24 to get to peoria, or stay on hwy 9 til you get to highway 122, go on 122 to the first curve and just keep going straight this is townline rd. townline road will eventually take you to 155, there is 1 stop sign and there are hardly any cops on it. It does have some weight restrictions, but they are set high, so there should be no problem.

This scale really enforces the IL NO tolerance rule . If you're over on an axle you don't leave the scale until you're legal . I had to hand shovel 400 lbs. of feed front to back on a hopper bottom because I was 400 over on my drives . I see cranes in there are the time shifting loads on flatbeds . If you can't get your axle weights legal you have to have another truck take part of your load . All axles WIll be legal before you leave .
