Parking: There is parking allowed at the Greenwich weigh station- the parking spots are not very long. If your truck overhangs they may ask your to pull up or back up according to their desires. There is a service plaza close to the weigh station east of the scales. There is a service plaza at mile marker 12.5. Very little parking at the service plaza.
Information
This scale closes at night a lot- no guarantees. They've also been known to open up and do vehicle inspections at night. They often pull in a number of trucks for inspections when they are open during the daytime.

THIS IS TO frannie: ABOUT US1 I WHEN THOUGH THERE BEFORE, BUT IT WAS A MISSION THE STREETS ARE TIGHT AND THERE IS A LOW CLEARENCE THERE DUE TO THE RAIL TRACK.. HAS ANYONE EVER BYPASS IT BEFORE ? TIPS?

YOU ARE RIGHT THERE IS NO WHERE TO PARK BEFORE THE SCALE HOWEVER I HAVE SEEN TRUCKS TAHT STOP JUST BEFORE THE SCALE AND WAIT FOR IT TO CLOSE BELIVE IT OR NOT ON THE SIDE SHOUDER.. WIRED I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT LOOKS FISHY BUT I UNDERSTAND YOU GOT TO DO WHAT YOU GOT TO DO.. BUT NO..USALLY IF THEY ARE CLOSED THERE IS NO ACTIVIY... THEN ITS CLOSED.. IF THEY ARE CLOSED JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE CUSTOMERS THEN THAT'S DIFFRENT IT CAN CHANGE.... GOOD LUCK..OH AND NO PREPASS!! THERE!!! SUCKS!!

Refering to Dee's comment below. Wait where? Is there truck parking before the scale? By the time you get from the GW to the CT line they could be open when you heard they were closed. Where can you park? I see trucks parked off the freeway sometimes but I don't know what exit that is.

SB rest area at MM 10. NB is beyond scale at 12. US 1 possible bypass but sloooowwww.

they are amost always closed but if they are open they are checking regardless, they usally open, get some victiums and then they close again.. they have a bad reputation becuase its more of an INSPECTION STATION.. beware!! to bypass is a mission., its better to wait for it to close..
