this scale is just about always open year round, they look for a recent inspection sticker when you cross, if you dont have one they have 4 bays to assist you. I live in the area.

To get around this coop:From CA 99 go west on CA 152 to CA 59 north, this will bring you out back on CA 99 in the town of Merced. I've used this route a few times in the past and it's legal for trucks. It only adds 9 miles to your trip.I've heard of drivers taking another route to the east of hwy 99 but am not familiar with it and I think the coop personel would be able to see you if you took any route that was shorter as it's all pretty much open land around there.
