I've been told by a number of people but can not confirm that this scale uses a state of the art photo electric device which measures the distance from your king pin to the center of the rear axle. Coop personnel don't even have to be looking through the window,if you're pulling a 53' trailer and the distance is over 40' it will trigger an alarm.

This scale is open and you will be pulled in. Don't be over weight on your axles. They will make you unload and keep you on duty while doing it.
