i will send a picture in the next few days, unless i get sent out. i haul oversize loads out of arlington,wa 48 states, but i grew up 5 minutes from that scale.[raymond scale#71] first of all,,it is on coast hy 101,,but it's north bound, not east bound. it is rarely open these days as it was set up in the old days to work on the log trucks running outa the woods south of south bend,[off the palix river and as far south as grays river], to the mills in raymond and cosmopolis and aberdeen. this makes it safe to run on the weekends, and evenings into the night. the scale is on the north bound side, and only has room for 2-3 trucks max.[one pulled over, one on the scale, and one on the ramp. it is situated on a two lane curve to the right, with a cliff on the right and the willapa river on the left. it is really an unsafe scale, given the traffic situation. i have a few pretty good stories about the old weighmaster[late70's early 80's],if anyone is interested.we used to run that guy ragged! these stories also would be good for the scale on rt5 outside of raymond,as the same weighmaster ran both scales. well,,i just got home,,pulled a 110 long,13 wide 15'6 high 118,700lb load from arlington,wa to houston,tx and got back to the yard,,,and i'm setting at home, the ol' lady wants me,,keep the shiny side up,be save and arive alive..
