Was victim of the “72 Blitz” at the beginning of June, 2007. That DOT fundraiser made me the proud owner of a ticket for not having my last 7 recap. They shut me down for 10 hours because of it, and I didn’t even know that we had to have it current according to the law! Every trucker I have spoken with has said the same thing. During the 10 hour shut down I was not allowed to idle because of a DOT officer that said it made too much noise. So all of us were stuck in a place with no food, no restrooms and no A/C in the beginning of June, way to go Maryland DOT! That’s the way to earn respect from the driving community!
