The map of Maine makes it look deceptively small. Any trucker who has traveled the length of I 95 in Maine will tell you that it is a large state. You will see signs for moose crossings along the interstate and you may have a sighting of a black bear. Once you get north of Bangor, civilization gets pretty thin.
