Just wondering. Any good/bad experiences?
I think it's a good idea to get your services done at the same place (always go to Petro or always go to Speedco etc). |

I service myself when I'm not at home, oh wait, you meant for vehicles ......sheesh, okay......
T. A. could've stood for Totally Automotive where nowadays it CAN stand for Totally Aggravating or Trashy Ann.
Pietro is soon to become T. A. or incorporated with T. A.
Since Pietro could "sell out man" to Flying J in Wytheville, VA or is it actually Ft. Chiswell, then why can't Pietro "sell out" to T. A.??
How many Pietros are still in operation except the one in Lousyanna and a few other locations
The ONLY thing good about t. a. is the fuel island.
The "mechanics" in the shops are usually IDIOTS and the shops look worse than Pigs Pens. --how well does a pig write with a pig pen??--
Where is the Pen(nitentary) for Pigs or is it the 5th Slaughter House??
Pietro has CLEAN SHOPS which is prolly why t. a. wants 'em; to muck 'em up as only t. a. can and will.
Pietro rather than Petro sounds better to me.

Normally I get my scheduled maintenance done at our yard in SoCal but this time around circumstances prevented that from happening and I got it done at the T/A in Aurora,OR. I must admit they had me pull into the shop in a timely manner, less than an hour after checking in. After pulling into the service bay the first thing I noticed was that there was no way to get out of the truck and exit the shop without walking in oil and grease. As Eric stated the place was a virtual pigpen. The whole shebang took only an hour and I suppose I should have been a little suspicious at that point because it usually takes longer but I was in a hurry to find a parking place what with it being Tuesday evening and the lot was filling up fast. The following morning as I was doing my pre-trip I noticed that the hinged door to the A/C filter holder mounted on the firewall was open. Not only that but there was no filter inside and one of their shop rags was laying next to it. Needless to say I was not particularly overjoyed at this revelation. I went back to the shop and to their credit they didn't deny culpability in the matter. They inserted a new filter and I was on my way. I think from now on I'm going to have my PM's done in the yard. _________________ Who is John Galt? |

The comany I am leased to has a huge shop. Somewhere around
16 bays and they do trailer repairs and alignments.
I use them for my pm's amd minor repairs, brakes shocks, etc. Any
internal motor repairs such as top ends goes to Internation dealer. Only
certified Cummins mechanics are allowed to work on the inside of
my motor. The only time I use a Petro or TA is if I have to have tire
repair, mudflap replacement which is rare.
The one thing I don't like about Petro's services is the so called mechanics
like to take the torque wrench and check the torque's underneath and
they get pizzed when I tell them no.Don't even get started on the useless,
overpriced, never in stock TA
I use the same mechanics all the time. Yup, there may be better deals
out there on the road but I come home ,drop truck off at shop and tell
the guys what I need and go home. The best thing is if they screw up
I know exactly where to find them These guys know my truck and me
and what is acceptable and what isn't. A few homemade chocolate chip
cookies or brownies keeps them all happy
I feel sorry for the company drivers who are at the mercy of the cheapness of the company. I see guys who's ac has gone out down in
the south and they have to wait until they get by a terminal to get it
fixed whenever that is. I hear it everyday on the CB _________________

I know what ya mean sunshine but the really sad thing is they only think they're at the mercy of their company. I've been drivin' off and on since 1967 and have always been a company driver. Every so often the company I'm driving for will try to pull that cr*p on me and my response is "After I clean it out where do you want me to park it"? That's one of the problems with a lot of these new drivers, they let someone treat 'em that way and then wonder why they're so miserable. About 12 years ago I had a diaphragm rupture on a brake cannister (on the tractor) and the maintenance department of the company I was driving for wanted me to clamp the air line going in to it with a vice grip until I got back to the yard (about 1500 miles away). YA, RIGHT! I could just see me goin' through a level one in a coop and explaining that one to the D.O.T. inspector...They can only scr*w you if you let 'em. _________________ Who is John Galt? |

Wow, off and on since 1967, The changes you have seen. I can just
picture you explaining to the DOT about the vice grips. Which are only
temporary to get you to the nearest repair shop. Your right about the new
drivers. _________________
