Officer, Have Mercy on Me!

I got a warning ticket in my POV a few days ago. I was running late and driving on a state route. And the thing is, I KNEW they work that stretch and I just thought I'd be okay. Well- he got me for 70 in a 55. The bad part is I had gotten a ticket on the same stretch about 6 months ago. So I figured I was going to get another ticket. I asked the officer if he would consider giving me a warning since it affects my job.

HE DID!

How's that for a cop story (and it's TRUE, too!)?

But it sounds like you pretty much deserved the ticket.

That's cool though, that he let you off since it affects your job. I've never had a cop NOT give me a speeding ticket when I was speeding. I hope that made sense.
