The comment below indicates that "contrary to the information on this site" there is a citation for evading a weigh station. This driver contacted us to inform us that the "evasion" part of his ticket resulted from passing the weigh station sigh before the exit. According to the information on this site, "it is unlawful to willfully fail to comply with a lawful order or signal of a peace officer. We were not provided with a copy of the citation or information about the section of code cited on the citation.

Thank you, C. Hall, for the information.

There is a CHP officer assigned to Hooker Creek Rd. Once you turn left onto Hooker Creek, he will be waiting on the side of the road. He will direct you to follow him to a concrete pad poured halfway down the road to the highway. He will write you a citation for being over-length if you are over 65ft, and he will also cite you for evading a weight station, which is a misdemeanor in CA, contrary to the information on this site.

This was my first and last time following the advce on this site, as it has cost me a lot of money. I took my chances so it is my fault, but the information regarding CA's stance on station evasion, and this route, are what led me to take that chance. Buyer Beware..
