There is a fantastic restaurant in the town of Socorro near the Wal-Mart called the Roadrunner Restaurant and Lounge. If you're following route 60 you'll pass it on your left. The restaurant doesn't open until 5 pm but the steaks are worth the wait. Be prepared to pay $20 and up per plate.

Be carefull at this location. I recently got a ticket here for failing to stop. They had no "open" signs out so I went on by. They came after me, pulled me over, did a level one inspection and wrote me a ticket for not stopping.I tried to reason with them but they don't think it's neccessary to use "open" signs. So, "whatch it" if you go thru there.
